What this site collects

Nothing that identifies you by name. There is no account to create, no newsletter to join and no comment form, so we never ask you for anything. What does get collected is the anonymous analytics described below, and nothing else.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read and where readers arrive from. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the page you viewed, the site that referred you, your approximate location by country or city, and details about your device. We look at it in aggregate: page views, referrers, countries. We do not sell it and we do not try to identify anyone.

If you would rather not be counted, any tracker blocker will stop it, as will the browser-level "do not track" settings that Google honours. Nothing on this site breaks if you block it.

Affiliate links

When you follow an affiliate link to an operator, that operator sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy so it can attribute the booking. We never see your payment details, your name or your booking. Whether you book is invisible to us beyond an anonymous count.

Images and fonts

All images are served from this site and all type is set in fonts already on your device, so nothing is fetched from a font or image host. The one third-party request a page makes is the Google Analytics script described above, which loads after the page is usable. That is the only way a third party learns you were here.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification and erasure over personal data held about you. The only data we hold is the anonymous analytics above, which is not tied to a name. If you want to ask anything about it, write to hola@diegofresno.com and we will answer.
